Tips for trips around Statenice

Statenice has an ideal location. You are in an oasis of peace but close to everywhere. The same goes for excursions that you can plan for every week and will certainly not get tired of. You can go by bike to Okoř, or to the Šárecký valley, or to Divoká Šárka. For a walk, we recommend the Housle Nature Park in Lysolaje, where you can refresh yourself with water from a miraculous well. If you want to do more sport, head towards Suchdol, through Kozí hřbety, into the Tichý údolí valley, enjoy the views from the Alšova vyhlídka (hill) and around Únětice brewery, preferably with a stop for one cold one, and you'll be home again in no time.

We have personally explored the area around Statenice more than once, we have been to these places several times in all seasons and the beauty and atmosphere with the positive energy they exude never cease to amaze us.

ALŠOVA VYHLÍDKA (viewpoint)

The Aleš viewpoint can be found less than 5 km above the lower pond in Únětice. Take good footwear, the final hike is challenging, but the view of the surroundings is worth it any time of the year.

Okoř castle

Okoř castle

Okoř is a famous castle ruin, about 5.5 km northwest of AURA Statenice. This castle, now a cultural monument, was founded in the second half of the 13th century. During the spring and summer months, period events such as performances by knightly associations are held in the ruins. The meadow adjacent to the castle ruins is the site of the popular open-air festival Festival Okoř, which takes place every year in the second half of August.
